Jon Frattasio has been a professional musician for 20 years. As they say in the music biz, "he is a troubadour for sure", performing between 250 and, some years, 300 nights a year. Jon has piled up more than 6000 professional gigs worth of experience. Jon has an impressive set list of over 1500 songs and some of his owned penned tunes. Frattasio has done some travelling over the years with regular performances in Key West, California, Las Vegas and, of course, all New England.
You can catch Jon performing year round from Boston to Cape Cod and in-between and, you just never know who'll stop by a Jon Frattasio gig. Jon has performed quite a bit over the years with some world class musicians like: Peter Mayer (lead guitarist of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band) and Jim Mayer (bassist of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band) also, Amy Lee (sax player from the Charles Neville Jazz Band and Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band). Jon has also performed with percussionist and instrument virtuoso, Scott R. Bryan (Peter Mayer Group and toured with Sheryl Crow for 5 years). Jon speaks proudly of the profound musical influence and great inspiration, that he has received over the years, from good friends Peter and Jim Mayer.
Some of Jon's very best performances are with his band mates like, world class sax monster, Tony Quintiliani (Sheena Easton tour), Tony Q is a great hand percussionist and 2nd melody singer as well. His approach to music is high energy, fun and professional. Jon's right arm, life-long friend; guitarist/bassist/technician, Bob Doolittle is the winner of 8 Boston Music Awards. Jon is performing more and more these days with Bob's younger brother, lead guitar pro; Paul Doolittle. Called the "professor" affectionately by Jon, because Paul is "the" noted guitar teacher in all of the South Shore of Massachusetts. At times, Paul teaches some 110 to 120 students a week... Wow! Jon performs with two great drummers. Jon's full-time player is popular drummer/percussionist, Steve Oksenuk (a New England and Key West troubadour). Says Jon of Steve; "this cat can pick up song arrangements and music vibes in minutes." -JF Jon has performed several years with another local pro, Bob Paluccio. Jon boasts of Paluccio being one of the most talented drummer/percussionists anywhere. "One of Bob's specialty's is his own version of the "Cocktail Drum", performing it like no other!" -JF
